Welspun India, manufacturer of the FibroSplit brand high performance nonwovens, will launch its latest innovation, FibroSplit Composite Fabric, during the IDEA19 exhibition in Miami.

As per Milind Hardikar, CEO for Welspun Advanced Textiles, the durable version of FibroSplit is developed using Welpun's patented technology (patent granted in Europe, Japan, China, Mexico, Australia and Hong Kong). It is designed to withstand over 20 washes and provides a competitive alternative to microfiber based nonwovens and fabrics.

Hardikar adds that hybrid FibroSplit has amazing advantages in price and durability: it is low lint and has superior tenacity (MD:CD ration of 1:1), it is light-weight, quick-dry and breathable. Although it's not a 100% microfiber based fabric, FibroSplit still offers a 100% microfiber touch to consumers.

Hardikar says that Hybrid FibroSplit is an all weather fabric that can be a great product for outdoor applications like awnings, canopies, window shades and blinds, and at the same time it can be tailor-made for performance apparel and home textile applications like bath robes, anti-mite bedding, quilts and comforters. It can also be used for industrial applications like filter media, technical packaging, acoustics and high performance wiping. A three-dimensional embossed version of FibroSplit is outstanding and can be great for automotive acoustic applications.
